Account & Data Deletion Request

At Niwaas (SocietySathi), we respect your right to control your personal information. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.

Warning: Deleting your account will remove your access to your society's notices, maintenance records, and member directory. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to Request Account Deletion

Method 1: Inside the Mobile App

Open the Niwaas mobile application.
Go to Profile / Settings tab.
Scroll down and tap "Delete Account".
Confirm your request. Your account and personal profile will be queued for immediate removal.

Method 2: Submit a Deletion Request via Email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, send an email to our support team with your registered phone number and society name:

What Data is Deleted?

Your personal profile (Name, phone number, email address, profile picture).
Your authentication credentials and push notification tokens.
Your personal activity logs and device identifiers.

Data Retention Policy

Past financial audit records (e.g. historical society maintenance payment receipts) may be retained by your housing society committee for accounting and statutory compliance records as required by local housing cooperative laws.
